David McFall is a 4th generation farmer located in the picturesque district of Cherry Tree Pool in the Great Southern District of WA.
The property ‘Temple Farm’ is a leading example of regenerative organic farming with fully integrated projects such as Yeoman’s water harvesting, revegetation for habitat linkage, Oil Mallee agroforestry and Carbon farming.
The farms production principles are strongly attuned to building soil heath courtesy microbial and humus accumulation. David’s beliefs are also to put the ‘culture’ back into agriculture by encouraging connectivity and awareness to our environment and community for the greater good.
Going forward David sees that organic farm systems have great capacity to continue delivering healthy food to meet growing consumer demand but shall also be at the forefront of ‘bioaccumulation’ of CO2 gas back into the soil to help bring about adaptability to climate change.
David’s other passions are reinvigorating landscapes and social enterprise through development of renewable industries using biomass from planting Oil Mallee’s, dabbling into painting, creative writing, photography and racquet sports…and having a chat.
